Giving back to the community is an integral part of who Iron is. Every employee here at Iron is involved in many activities, from professional organization involvement to helping pack care packages for military troops overseas.
One of the overarching premises at Iron is giving back to the community. One of the major events we participate in is our own annual charity golf tournament. Each and every employee at Iron volunteers their time to take on a specific area needed to make the event happen, from soliciting donations, coordinating auction items, setting up the venue, soliciting and directing volunteers to help the day of the event, bringing together the golf players and charitable organization, to decorating and managing the finances of the event.
This year will be our fourth annual event. We are proud to, again, raise monies for the Red Cross’ Operation: Care and Comfort program. This extremely worthy program packs and ships care packages to the military troops serving overseas in conflict areas. Each pound of product Operation: Care and Comfort ships costs $1. Last year we netted over $38,000 for this wonderful program. In 2007, we hope to net over $50,000!
